RIYL: Damon Albarn and company
And voila. Â It’s Gorillaz overload this week, innit? Â Hope ya copped that Vinyl, Me Please red variant of their heralded Demon Days, but if that one escaped your grimy fingers, then feast your eyes on the ginormous 14-disc box set of their newest 2017 opus Humanz. Â If your hype level hasn’t driven into the red, check out the guest list on these tracks…Vince Staples, Danny Brown, De La Soul, Mavis f-ing Staples, Pusha T, Grace f-ing Jones and MANY MORE. Â Boys and girls, this is going to be insane. Â Grab that fat stack you’ve been saving up for a big vinyl purchase and smash that ‘buy’ link. Â Otherwise, get outta the way.
Each vinyl in the set is a different color, and as far as I can tell, that’s the only colored vinyl option in their many choices.  They’re also housed in a 54-page cloth-bound hardback book, so in case you thought Gorillaz were feckin around…you thought wrong.  There’s an ‘art book’ bundle you can get HERE and the solo classic black vinyl HERE, but you’re gonna have to shell out a few hundred more clams for that sickeningly sweet box set.  Check out their newest video below while you’re thinking about it.
Gorillaz’ new album Humanz, presented across 14 individual pieces of 12” coloured vinyl (each one a different colour), packaged in individually art-worked sleeves. Each piece of vinyl features an album track, backed with an exclusive alternate version on the other side.
Includes a 54-page, cloth-bound, foil-blocked, hardback book of Gorillaz artwork by Jamie Hewlett and a download card, all housed in a bespoke 12” vinyl case. This format is expected to ship out in late-summer, but you will be sent a download code upon album release date (28 April) for all tracks. This is super-limited and once it’s gone, that’s it, so don’t hang around.
