If you can see past the billows of smoke in front of your face, read on.  If not, hit that thing one more time, grab a nap, and approach the screen once the room has cleared.
D.R.O dusts off his dad’s jazz and psychedelic¬†albums for the inspiration behind¬†DRO EP‘s¬†spaced out beats and far out¬†samples. ¬†Undoubtedly influenced by The Pharcyde, Digable Planets and the early 1990s’ brand of trip hop and conscious rap, D.R.O’s high-pitched delivery effortlessly dances over his¬†sedated rhythms. ¬†Best consumed with some cush in your lips, your ears open and your back firmly planted on the floor, DRO EP promises to slow roast your¬†occipital lobe¬†and massage those auditory nerves.
This is the first ever vinyl release for Australian label Fifty Records, who have reached across the ocean for a chance to press up one of Austin’s finest hip hop artists. ¬†Give them some support and grab yourself a beautiful slab of black wax. ¬†Only 150 of the 200 records pressed are being offered on Fifty’s bandcamp page, so be quick about it.
