RIYL: Black Moth Super Rainbow, Tobacco, Aesop Rock

Label: Rhymesayers

Way back in 2008, The Hood Internet made three amazing mashups featuring Aesop Rock and friends’ lyrical stylings over three tunes from Tobacco’s debut record Fucked Up Friends.  I couldn’t get those tracks out of my head for years.  However grotesque that pairing may sound at first, the results were fresh AF.  It turns out that Aesop Rock’s singular verbal assault blends into Tobacco’s warped electro-pr0n gurgle like an ice-cold Jack & Coke.  Both artists have a sound and delivery next to impossible to imitate, so this thing is a match made in purgatory.

Check out the first track (and disgusting animated music video) below and make sure and grab some blue vinyl after the ‘buy’ link.  No quantity has been announced, so assume there are enough to go around for a few weeks at least.
