NOTE #1 – Test Presses ARE available in the SUPER COLLECTOR BUNDLE.

NOTE #2 – Although the band is from Poland, these records will ship from Des Moines, IA.

Entropia is a black metal/post metal band from Oleśnica, Poland. This is their debut album, Vesper. Within this album is a plethora of sounds adding elements of both post-rock and shoegaze to the list; to name a few. In a genre where things have become stale and plateaued, to a greater degree, this band has found a balance to their progression that sees them standing out above the rest in the most refreshing of ways. Give it a listen down below!!

This is a Kickstarter campaign so what you will see here is a mock-up style representation of what is expected to be produced once the campaign has reached it’s goal. The projected layout of this vinyl release is as such:

  • 100 on Black w/ Grey Splatter (Band Exclusive; 10 available via Kickstarter)
  • 150 on Grey Splatter
  • 250 on Black (could possibly be more of these pressed)

If you pledge $50 or more to this campaign, you will be thanked in the liner notes!

KEEP IN MIND, when you choose to support this… you WILL NOT be charged until the OCTOBER 26th!! This is the final date for people to pledge toward the album and if the project does not reach it’s goal then NOBODY will be charged! You are simply saying that, come October 26th, you’d like to be charged for whatever reward you choose!

“Entropia play expansive, melancholic black-splashed post-metal.This record takes you on one of those hour-long journeys through the rippling darkness of self and space that never gets mired in repetition or feels like waiting for a dozen samey songs to end. Guitar chords and melodies split the difference between contemplative and aggressive, drums plod and rip in perfect complement, and hellish rasped vocals explode from the album’s bleak center.” -Decibel Magazine

The Details

An enthralling album that fuses the emotion and ferocity of black metal, the soundscapes of post-rock, and sludge metal structures.

"In an atmospheric black metal scene plagued by stagnation and inter-group cannibalization, it can be increasingly difficult to discover bands that are simultaneously unique and emotionally investing, making a find like Poland's Entropia a scarce and beautiful thing to behold." Ryan Kroner SputnikMusic.com

Entropia have been honing their craft for the last 6 years and it shows. Vesper, released earlier this year is their first full length and it's become one of the best reviewed metal (or post-rock, shoegaze, etc.) albums of the year. In fact, I challenge you to find a bad review anywhere.

On SputnikMusic.com Vesper is ranked in the top 5 on the black metal and post-rock charts, #1 on the sludge metal chart, and is #15 in all genres as voted by users. Entropia has earned higher scores than most other heavy hitters' albums from this year.

"[Vesper] provides a solemn atmosphere that manages to sustain the heaviness of their black metal roots without forsaking the shoegaze that also spawned their sound. ...it is painstakingly polished. Nothing about this album is out of place." - Encyclopaedia Metallum

"Vesper is a refreshing shift from the hypersensitivity and repetitiveness that has been corrupting the post/black scene lately." - The Sonic Sensory

"A collection of six unique, yet interconnected, songs, the last four minutes of “Pascal” are absolutely divine in their purpose and focus." - The Esoteric Alembic

"Sometimes aggressive and threatening, sometimes melancholic and subdued or dreamy , but always with a sense of purpose and urgency. Highly recommended." - Lords of Metal

The vinyl pressing process will begin as soon as our goal is reached. We are hoping to have the records mailed out in December unless there are delays at the processing plant. Pressing plants don't offer concrete turnaround times so delays are certainly possible. If this happens we will ship records as soon as we get them but we'll keep you updated on the manufacturing progress.
