RIYL: FUZZ, Ty, Meatbodies
Label: Mock Records
Burger Records quietly released a cassette from a trio last year known as Walter. Â An unassuming name, yes. Â This ain’t no Walter Cronkite noise, though. Â This is a Walter Sobchak wielding a pistol in one hand and a suitcase full of dirty underwear in the other. Â All those other bands? Â Amateurs.
Expect a nearly lethal dose of guitar offensive fleeced with all of your favorite f words.  Fuzz and feedback, for fuck’s sake, from the likes of ‘Righteous’ Ross Chait and ‘Monster Minx’ Misha Lindes.  Combine that with a vocal pummeling from Meatbodies’ Patrick Noland (whose delivery stands up to Ty Segall’s snarling falsetto) and you’ve got yourselves a cocksure formula that’s heady enough for your brain stem and raunchy enough for your crotch cavities.
$40 is a hefty bit of coin, but there are only 25 of these.  Get Well Soon stands comfortably among its proto-metal peers and would sit beautifully in your vinyl shelf next to your FUZZ, Meatbodies and Ty albums.  Smash your buy button or wallow in tear-soaked regret for the rest of your lives.
If you miss out or just can’t spend that kind of money, fear not.  Keep your eyes peeled for the regular limited color vinyl of the album coming in the next few weeks.
