In 2013 deep in the woods of Happy Valley, OR(an actual place) I was sitting on a bale of hay when Ty Segall and company walked on stage and Ty picked up an acoustic guitar. It was still several weeks away from the release of Sleeper and I was completely blown away by the proceedings. It wasn’t at all what I was expecting, but it’s a show that I will never forget.

Later that night around 1 am I crammed into a barn to see his royal heinous, King Tuffy perform in his ICE CREAM trucker cap and sun medallion. It was hot, it was sweaty, it was loud, and it was perfect.

One of the great things about Pickathon is that everyone plays multiple sets. Tuffy played the next afternoon in the meadow and that show was great too. Ty would play in the barn late on the last night, if memory serves me right. This is to say I’m not actually sure which performances are included on this LP, but if you are a fan of the current generation of garage rockers then this is release is a must.

Limited to 1500 copies of face melting fun. Just look at that cover! I already bought mine.

Also you should think about going to Pickathon. It’s the first weekend of August and really is a special experience.

Updated the link to go to Bullmoose who have much more reasonable shipping.
