The nugget.  Since the early 70s’ manifested the first collection of obscure garage rock from the mid to late 60s, the word ‘nugget’ has come to mean the undiscovered sonic gem, a buzzing lofi masterpiece and the purest essence of rock and roll.  It’s not a finite collection either.  Decades pass and new subgenres form, yet we continue to curate these minute-long machinations because they’re f-ing GREAT.  Meet Mind Meld, an LA-based 4-piece dedicated to preserving and progressing the almighty riff.

You’re Not Free is a magical carpet ride floating on a guitar groove cut from the cloth of 1966 in Kings Road, London, churning alongside a scorched bass line and a drinamyl-soaked organ drone sure to light your pyre.  Plug in your headphones and break on through.

For a cool $5, you can get the track on a gold flexi disc with a screen-printed cover.  Let the mind meld begin.
