RIYL: Smith, Bonny St. Claire, The Black Belles

Label: ATO Records

Atina Brown wasted no time making her introduction as Mattiel in 2017.  Her self-titled debut on Burger Records was track-for-track a mesmerizing, searing ambush of confidence, a take-no-prisoners declaration that Miss Brown was going to make some f-ing waves.  This summer, we’re going to see a sophomore follow-up titled Satis Factory, a 12-tracker showcasing Brown’s unforgettably powerful voice and vintage psych pop production techniques.  First single Keep the Change is 60s country pop without the bubblegum.  Brown’s vocals cut through this chime-lead pelvic thruster like a knife through butter, a great sign that Satis Factory is going to live up to our expectations.

ATO Records has a yellow highlighter vinyl colorway for you after the ‘buy’ link.  Take a listen to the single below and smash that ‘buy’ link now or regret it later.
