Froth released their outstanding debut-album Patterns via Burger Records on cassette in 2013, and Lolipop Records ( a Burger sub-label) put it out on wax last year. Patterns was a solid proof of their keen ear for reverbed retro psych/garage, and instantly put them on the radar of blogs and followers of the expanding scene. The brilliant Saccharine Sunshine 7″ followed late 2014 via Mock Records, and presented a richer and more versatile sound from a band that was expanding and experimenting with their sound and expression.

With their 2nd album Bleak, Froth showcase a more mature and evolved sound on a lot of levels, and this one is guaranteed to get them a lot of new followers. Where their debut-album was an effort that in my head sounded somewhere in between  The Allah-La’s and early Brian Jonestown Massacre, on this one they add influences from indie-rock, shoegaze and even a spoonful of kraut as well. All cleverly adapted to their own expression at that! The production on this is album absolutely stunning, and this bunch certainly know how to use their reverbed/fuzzed-up sounds to build up beneath this! This one will be on heavy rotation at my place for sure, thanks guys!

MOCK RECORDS RELEASED THEIR 2ND LIMITED PRESSING OF THE SACCHARINE SUNSHINE 7″ LAST WEEK, STRICTLY LIMITED TO 50 COPIES ON BLUE VINYL!!!  JUMP ON IT THROUGH HERE!
