RIYL: JEFF the Brotherhood, Ty Segall

Label: Infinity Cat

I love this band so much that I love them in spite of their name. Some people might find their name to be humorous, but to me it’s one of the worst band names around. I guess it’s good in that it’s a name that you won’t easily forget. “Diarrhea Planet? I don’t know if I’ve ever heard of them,” said no person ever.

Diarrhea Planet are back with their own brand of infectious singalong garage rock. After hearing the track below I jumped at the chance to preorder this one.
Infinity Cat and Diarrhea Planet both know how to do things right, and this package appears to be no exception.

Pre orders come with a – “Live At Freakin Weekend VII” on cassette with art by Tuff Gus. If you pay $10 more you’ll get a shirt tossed in to your package as well.

Here's what people are saying about Turn To Gold already!

"Now, right now, is the time to know Diarrhea Planet โ€” the Nashville six-piece with a name so repellent the music has no choice but to be undeniable. With their third album, Turn to Gold, announced today and due out this summer on Infinity Cat Recordings, the band deliver on that proposition and then some, asserting their claim as one of the best โ€” and most fun โ€” young rock outfits in America." Buzzfeed.

"Turn To Gold represents a more muscular, confident Diarrhea Planet. Itโ€™ll come out almost three years after their last full-length.. which means this Diarrhea Planet is an older, maybe even wiser group of dudes still wielding the ridiculously over-the-top power of chunky riff-rock running on four guitars... As our own Tom Breihan put it when Diarrhea Planet released their new single 'Life Pass': 'If Diarrhea Planet donโ€™t blow the fuck up this year, something is seriously wrong with the world.'" Stereogum.

"Music has no right to be this fun." USA Today.
