RIYL: Thee Oh Sees, Ty , Lightning Bolt

Label: Famous Class

Here at Sly Vinyl HQ one of our favorite bands is Thee Oh Sees. If you don’t know, Damaged Bug is a project from John Dwyer who is also the frontman for Thee Oh Sees.

Famous Class is back with their newest release in the Less Artists More Condos series and this one has a Damaged Bug jam on the A side and features a new song from Black Pus which is Lightning Bolt drummer Brian Chippendale’s solo project.

We’re pretty stoked on how well the colored edition on this one came out. Feast your eyes on the Milky Clear & Orange
with Green Splatter (LTD to 400) special edition vinyl. You know the drill, the colored variants go super fast so if you want one don’t wait. For those purists out there we’ve got ya covered with the classic black vinyl as well.

Welp… it only took us 19 months but we are so excited to bring you the next installment in our series with LAMC No. 17: Damaged Bug / Black Pus. This monster 7" hits record shops April 7th but is available for pre-order now via the Famous Class mart. The A-side has Damaged Bug, AKA our main man & Thee Oh Sees head honcho John Dwyer, bringing the warped pop heat with “Rubber Lips”. On the B-side we’ve got Lightning Bolt drummer Brian Chippendale’s solo project Black Pus with “High Tide”, a pop single covered in sludge and sonically annihilated. You can listen to “High Tide” over on our bandcamp page now.
