RIYL: Courtney Barnett, Kurt Vile, Bob Dylan, Jen Cloher
Last year a picture appeared on the interwebs of Courtney Barnett and Kurt Vile together in an Australian studio.
If you’re like me you shared the photo and added some sort of comment like, “OMG!” or maybe even “WTF?!?!”
Courtney Barnett and Kurt Vile are two musicians that I have been a fan of since the very first moment I ever heard one of their songs. Once they announced that they didn’t just record a song together but an entire album I felt like I had done way too many dabs. Is this real? Am I possibly asleep? Hey, I can’t drive anymore guys.
Here is the lovely yellow vinyl edition from one of my favorite labels, Milk! and it’s limited to a mere 1500 copies.
The website is listed in Australian dollars. Their shipping to the US is much more reasonable than what you may be used to from the boys at Flightless, but it’s still like $14 or something. Don’t think too long or it’s going to be gone.
The link on the article goes to the limited to 1500 Yellow LP from Milk! as mentioned above.
This link here is a Euro store and it has a white vinyl variant. It’ll run you a cool $21.95 before shipping.
So there you have it. Two to choose from, one from Europe and one from Australia. Did you get them both?
Yellow Vinyl exclusive to Milk! Records. Numbers are limited!!! Gatefold (opens from the middle like shutter doors!) with beautiful studio photos + lyrics included on insert. Every pre-order comes with a limited edition poster illustrated by Jess Rotter.
Includes digital pre-order of Lotta Sea Lice. You get 1 track now (streaming via the free Bandcamp app and also available as a high-quality download in MP3, FLAC and more), plus the complete album the moment itโs released.
