I recently had the pleasure of photographing the Nelsonville Music Festival and discovered all kinds of great new music. One of my favorite discoveries was Joe Pug. He’s got a bit of Justin Townes Earle, a bit of Dylan and a pinch of John Prine (who also played the festival). I particularly was grabbed by the song “My Father’s Drugs” when I saw him perform. Once I got home and did some searching I found that Pug had this great bundle of colored vinyl coupled with a CD and instant download of each record. The price of $55 may be a bit steep for some but I just couldn’t resist.
