That swirling dark grey cloud heading for your neighborhood is Flenser Records, and they’re bringing their cacophonous catalogue with them.  Inside that thundering peril is genre-defying noise, metal, post-punk, darkwave and plenty of moonless nightcrawlers in search of your vital organs and your Paypal funds.
Father Murphy was consummated a decade ago in a secluded corner of Venice, Italy. Â Their sound, according to founding members Freddie Murphy and Chiara Lee, is “the Catholic sense of guilt, a downward spiral aiming at the bottom of the hollow, and then digging even deeper.” Â Finally, something the kids can enjoy.
Similar to The Legendary Pink Dots and other decade-spanning experimental groups, Father Murphy is a bold force among their peers, brave enough to trudge into musical territories that most wouldn’t dare to explore.
As far as I know, the following teaser is the only fragment I can find to explain the album. Â It’s gonna be dark, man. Â Really dark.
Below are some samples of previous work that show off their range in the art of avant garde.
âThe oddball psychedelic chamber pop the Italian duo exhales will creep you out with drones, lullabies, and anguished vocals all competing for front-runner spot in your next nightmare. Perfect.â âTerrorizer
