Daniel Bachman release a new record. Again, you intend to say. But wait – As you may already know, I follow Bachman from his first record. I saw him live several times. And still, he can impress me. The record starts with “Won’t You Cross Over To That Other Shore” an almost 15 minute long solo guitar piece and the best thing he’s done, ever. quiet passages alternate with faster scruffier ones. it’s like a long trip on the river, that cave this record it’s name. River marks the first time that Bachman has recorded an album in a proper studio, but it still has a very personal and direct feeling. Simply stated, River is Bachman’s best album, again. You can pre-order it from the Three Lobed Recordings Bandcamp page now with free US shipping and it’ll be in the shops in Europe end of May.
