Just found out about PIBLOKTO yesterday and had to buy this  immediately. Colourless Fields, is a stunning work of weathered beauty and quiet grace. Like his spiritual peers James Blackshaw, Cian Nugent and Jack Rose.

Piblokto is a solo project by Alexius Cai, recorded mostly at home over a span of two years, Colourless Fields is a reflection on the tenacity of human fortitude and the search for tranquility amidst the desolation and vastness of the Siberian tundra.

The album traces a physical epic journey from the Siberian wastelands towards the Indian plateau of placid abandonment. Guitar compositions laced with a myriad of improvisations through ambient sounds, drones, guitars and violins distillates the essence of Arctic hysteria which is PIBLOKTO.

With the imaginations and mastery of Evan Tan (The Padres, The Observatory), Leslie Low (Humpback Oak, The Observatory), Andrew Lim (Stroll, Dreams of Day Architecture, Darren Moore Quintet) and Joan Chew (Dreams of Day Architecture), Colourless Fields dances to life akin to a flickering flame in the cold billowing desert night.

Mastered by James Plotkin and featuring the artwork of Denis Forkas Kostromitin.
