RIYL: Darkness

Label: Magical Garage Taste

I’ve decided to go back to the Québec label Magical Garage Taste to see what else I can dig up for you all, and I may be able to finish out the week with their releases. As for White Blackmail’s Traitor, the content isn’t the only thing unusual about this – 8″s aren’t something you see entirely too often. So hey, if you want to purchase this for purely for oddity’s sake, by all means. Traitor‘s cover is more or less static with some splotches, all depicted in black and white. This was released in June of last year, but this strange piece is quite fitting for the harsh winter – especially the one that’s taken ahold of the New England area. Call this a reaching comparison, but Traitor reminds me of the latter half of Lee Bannon’s “Heretic / Priscillian Acid” track that he took offline for whatever reason. Listen to Traitor below via the Bandcamp player and see what you think of it. Cheers!
