For a measly five euros, you, too, can own a copy of this extremely limited cassette tape courtesy of Noisekölln Tapes based out of Berlin, Germany – the world’s booming cosmopolitan center. This is a split release betwixt Kynn and Klara Tal but you have no way to hear Klara Tal’s work without buying a copy of the tape of yourself for whatever reason. Kynn’s five songs that you can hear remind me of the squelchy jungle-infused soundtrack on some of the Bomberman games for the Nintendo 64. As I listen to these Kynn tracks, I can’t help but envision images saturated with the memes and icons of vaporwave culture. However, these aren’t trapped in 90s kitsch – they’re rather devoid of time, actually. This tape sounds like the bastard child of a Not Not Fun artist and TR/ST, if that makes any sense to you. Listen to Kynn’s tracks below via the Bandcamp player and see what you think of it. Cheers!
