This super limited release comes from Peng! Sound Records and is distributed by RwdFwd. RwdFwd is also the only label which will have this release for purchase. Two duos, Gorgon Sound and Dubkasm, come together to make four super heavy dub tracks; Gorgon Sound provides the rhythms and Dubkasm adds their own touch to them. Below via the YouTube video you can listen to a preview for the track “Dub Mirror” – the rest of the tracks you can preview after you click the Buy Now button. “Arise,” the first track off this thing, really lays on the reverb and delay with their dub and gives you a great idea of what to expect for the other three tracks. Below, I’ve also linked the original “Rise” from Gorgon Sound so you can compare for yourself. Stream the YouTube videos and click through the Buy Now link and see what you think of this. Cheers!

The answer to the soundman’s request -

Fresh on the heels of the Gorgon Sound EP, released earlier this year on Peng Sound Records - We are pleased to announce the next Record:

“Gorgon Sound vs Dubkasm – The Versions.”

A follow up of the Gorgon Sound EP, part 2 if you like.

The EP features a set of versions of the original Gorgon Sound rhythms, mixed by Bristol’s very-own Dubkasm, in four successive sessions down in their studio in Easton, Bristol.

Dubkasm add their analogue-glow and sonic signature with the use of their legendary soundtrac CM440 mixing console, carefully channelling the track’s signals through chains of spring reverb, tape delays and specially crafted effects modulators -
For the soundsytem operator and version excursionists, a part 2 is simply a must, for the rest, this is a chance to hear the tracks reinterpreted and reignited in their full musical glory.

Title tracks have been renamed from:

Rise – to: Arise
Righteous Dub – to: Righteous Counteraction
Medusa – to: Dub Mirror

The original artwork (Joshua Hughes-Games vs Studio Tape-Echo) has been ‘versioned’ by Studio Tape-Echo.
