Bristol producer Nick Edwards, following the release of his Planet Mu debut Unfidelity, is already releasing his sophomore full-length¬†Four Track Mind¬†on, you guessed it,¬†Planet Mu. As the label states in the album synopsis,¬†Four Track Mind will not be receiving a press campaign, a CD release nor a digital release, it seems. Due to its limited nature, get ready to pony up if you like this – it’s over $40USD before shipping.

It may not be getting a release on any other format, but have no fear because Planet Mu has uploaded¬†a gratuitous preview of each track which you can listen to on the site (unfortunately, I can’t embed it here). From what I can tell,¬†Four Track Mind seems like a brighter, more alien, version of HEALTH’s soundtrack for Max Payne 3. There’s an air of despondency amidst the¬†almost primal electronic soundscapes which tap in to IDM, ambient, downtempo and more – a sense of mourning, if you will. Check out the preview of¬†Four Track Mind by clicking through the Buy Now link and see what you think of it. Cheers!
