Coming from Noorden is a compilation suitable for any party you may host or even a recommendation to whatever club you frequent’s DJ. The locus point here is definitely dub techno, but some IDM is present on here as well. Lab Matix’s “Tonga (Rhythym Republic)” is one of the sunniest dub techno tracks I’ve heard in a while and a great choice for the intro to this compilation. It’s making me wish I was going somewhere for my spring break to enjoy the finest of fruit smoothies when the sun breaks from the horizon; I guess it’s called “Tonga” for a reason. Mount Wishmore Unlimited’s “M.S.R.” keeps up the tempo and brings in woozy synth notes and plenty of drum machine samples reminiscent of Aphex Twin. The sampler then heads back in to dub techno with Zzzzra’s “Morituri Te Salutant” and puts ice over the cocktail that’s been brewing in the previous tracks. I’ll let you hear the rest below via the Bandcamp player so let me know what you think of it. Cheers!
