LAURAPALMER, real name Tiff Lion, takes the name for her new project from Twin Peaks – a cult show whose legend will live on for aeons. David Lynch’s (unfortunately) canceled surrealist, dark take on the serial drama – something that also lays claim to one of the biggest cliffhangers of all time. This work also serves as the only thing many have of watched Lynch’s succinct, yet deep, filmography. The film, Fire Walk With Me, didn’t answer any questions concerning it and I’m not even sure the reboot of Twin Peaks will pick up from where we left off… ok, I guess we’re getting off topic here but I couldn’t resist talking about it. This six song EP consists of three original tracks and three remixes. The cover, which looks to be the aftermath of an explosion, serves as a sign that the throbbing industrial techno you’ll hear on here is like the billowing anthracite colored smoke that suffocates the sun and the air. There’s a preview of all the tracks by clicking through the Buy Now button and there’s three tracks in full on the SoundCloud player below – see what you think of them. Cheers!
