As I type this where I am, it’s cold and raining. Honestly, this is my kind of weather and I wish it could be like this all the time. It makes me significantly happier than seeing the sun shining. People think I’m joking, but, surprise surprise, I’m not. What I find to go great with this weather a few kinds of music: dub techno, drone and good ol’ regular techno (frankly, any type of electronic music with strong repetition). Barnt & Jens-Uwe Beyer both remixed one of Greek producer Dream Weapons’ inaugural tracks and for the time being, we can only listen to Barnt’s take on the affair. Barnt’s take sounds like something that might’ve been in Max Payne 3 (I mean that as a compliment – HEALTH did the soundtrack on that one) with its brooding, rapidly arpeggiating hellish synthesizers in the background, its pulsing bass and the overall creepy atmosphere. He, more or less, completely changes the mood portrayed in the original. Check it out below via the Bandcamp player and check out the original via the YouTube video and see what you think of them. It looks like this’ll be shipping out in time for 4/20. Cheers!
