RIYL: Hayes Carll, Lillie Mae, Nikki Lane
Label: Soul Step Records
Soul Step Records is back with another split-single for their Footprint Series showcasing artists within the vein of country, western and Appalachian influences. A-side features the Nashville-based Timbo with How Much Did It Cost, a bluesy throwback tune tossing in violins, pedal steels and some incredible background harmonies from Lillie Mae and Sierra Ferrell. The B-side track American Dream from Zelly blankets the mood with more effortless harmonies courtesy of the great Nikki Lane on background vocals. Definitely some big names on this one!
Soul Step has a few copies left on red vinyl, but not many! Listen to the two tracks below and grab a copy after the ‘buy’ link.
