Shakey Graves is coming out with a new album which will have a limited edition release on opaque pink vinyl. These aren’t flying off the shelves, but it’s worth noting because so far it looks like a pretty good album. They don’t have a single out yet, but their live recording posted has a few of the new songs on the record.

Shakey Graves’s forthcoming album Can’t Wake Up is described as “an evolution” from And the War Came, and comprises 13 songs written from Rose-Garcia’s own personal life lessons and experiences from as far back as high school. In regards to what life lessons will be shared in the album, the artist said this “The beautiful lesson of all this is having to trust yourself, to be willing to start something that you don’t know the outcome of. Or to lean toward something just because it feels right, even though it may not be what you originally put down on paper. Those are the kind of stories in this record. They’re not so much about specific people, or even myself per se. They’re different shades of every person’s life.”
