RIYL: Recycle Culture

Label: Magical Garage Taste

Ok everybody, so I think I can finish out the week with Magical Garage Taste releases after all! I thought I was cutting it a bit too close. I’ve got another quality release from White Blackmail and it appears that this is the first physical release from the label. This particular release came out roughly a year-and-a-half ago but luckily for you, there’s still copies left (otherwise I wouldn’t be writing about this). You, however, can alleviate this stock from them. At press time, $7 Canadian is a couple pennies under $5 US so you’re getting a great deal. As for what’s contained in Black Whitemail, it’s akin to a shadowy, frigid breeze from Canada’s vast forest expanses. What I’m trying to say is I’m giving you more music apt for this winter. The cover itself looks like the view from inside a car, with a thick sheet of ice impeding your gaze towards the sky. As the songs play, they seem to be breaking free from their frozen prisons with the instrumentation gaining more clarity… my only gripe about this is that this doesn’t go on long enough. To each his own, though. Listen to Black Whitemail below via the Bandcamp player and see what you think of it. Cheers!
