Blue Line Dubs came out late last year, but fortunately for us German record store Decks has plenty of copies on board for us. Upwellings (real name Vincent Raude) is a French dub techno producer (you may have been able to surmise that from the EP’s title) and this goes without saying, but Blue Line Dubs is a definite bang for your buck as the Euro’s parity with our dollar is extremely close at the moment and the four tracks are nothing less than sublime. Each track will want to make you hit the beach or just sit by the water and look at the night sky. These tracks strongly tap in to the dub aspect of dub techno more than other tracks I can recall listening to in recent memory, and I don’t mind that one bit. A cool thing Decks offers on their website is a turntable where you can pitch shift the tracks you preview – I recommend pitch shifting downward to the max. Check out a Soundcloud stream to preview all the tracks or go through the Buy Now link below and listen to them on Decks. Cheers!
