Paolo Ferrara was the author of many successful pop songs in 60’s and 70’s and produced many movie soundtracks.
“Profondità“, produced in 1977, is a double LP of strongly progressive and psychedelic tunes with space, underwater, intimate and rarefied atmospheres.
It’s also an explicit tribute to Pink Floyd with many tracks being jazzy cover versions of great Floyd songs such as “One of These Days”, “Echoes”, “Shine On You Crazy Diamond”, “A Saucerful of Secrets”, “Time”, “Born to Run” & “Welcome to the Machine”.

Got my copy through Mondo, but I just checked the bandcamp page again and there is actually a blue marbled variant limited to 70 numbered copies for sale (looks like the first 70 of the 300 are on blue marbled, and those are up now).
