Low Point is by no means short on limited edition vinyl releases. In case I haven’t brought up their name before, they are responsible for the vinyl releases of Kyle Bobby Dunn’s Fragments and Compositions Of and Ex-Easter Island Head’s Large Electric Ensemble and Mallet Guitars Three, all of which I’ve written about on Sly previously. Now, from the looks of the album cover you’d assume this is a vaporwave release but that’s not the case. The intro track “Lands” has some vague resemblance to an archetypal vaporwave track (with CRT TV static and its array of kitschy sounding arpeggiated synthesizers), but it evolves in to a droning sound collage with the aforementioned elements. “The Bridge,” the track succeeding “Lands” is just that – a bridge in to the realm of drone and ambience. The rest of the album follows in the fashion of the first two tracks.
