To those who are with us stateside, happy MLK Jr. Day to you. To start this week off, I’ve decided to give a plug to neo-classical/ambient artist Kyle Bobby Dunn who’s reissuing Fragments and Compositions Of which came out nearly six years ago and as far as I know, this will be its first time on vinyl. The great news is it’s supposed to be shipping out today! Sadly, I’ve only become familiar with Kyle Bobby Dunn within the last year and a half when I came across his name in my research for an interview I conducted with Benoît Pioulard (Thomas Meluch). Pioulard had championed him numerous times in interviews but only now did I finally check him out – shame on me. Fragments and Compositions Of contains soaring, blissful and gloomy droning soundscapes within its confines. Its brooding atmosphere provides a tranquilizing remedy to those feeling nerve-racked or anxious. You’ll definitely like Kyle Bobby Dunn if you like Windy & Carl, Benoît Pioulard, Stars of the Lid, Tim Hecker or A Winged Victory for the Sullen. Check out Fragments and Compositions Of  (which comes courtesy of Low Point, which is looking like an awesome label – I’ll definitely be plugging more of their releases) below and see what you think of it. Cheers!
