I follow Julianna Barwicks work since the very beginning. Wasn’t absolutely sure about her last record “The Magic Place”, but the new song “One Half” is gorgeous. I really like that it begins so quietly until the vocals coming in. In a way it reminds me more of a female Peter Broderick than the usual comparisons like Julia Holter. not sure why – maybe it’s just the melancholic mood or theĀ repetition of the same sentence…
