Recorded in Warsaw, Cétieu’s newest EP is the scenic vision of Tekla Mrozowicka, one of the busiest ambient/noise composers in Poland (or all of Eastern Europe for that matter).  Inspired by Music For Airports, Tim Hecker, Hammock and Steve Roach, Tekla invites you into her world the only way she sees fit…through field recordings and ambient textures.

A lot of her work incorporates noise elements into her atmosphere, but Into the Light reaches into the heavens.  Pianos resonate for what seems like hours, eventually crashing into warm drones and layers of soft synth cushions.  If there was a sound we could hear past the clouds and into the unreached galaxies, this would be it.

Only 40 lathe-cut copies are being sold for this grandiose endeavor, and I’d expect they’ll go quick.
