Admittedly, we’re a bit late on posting about this one. Good ol’ life stepping in the way at times… but hey!… It’s still available on both colored choices!

Not a lot needs to be said about this particular record. It’s Nirvana. It’s Bleach. I, personally, grew up w/ this thing blaring out of my tape deck having Mom yelling from across the house “TURN IT DOWN!” But at the end of the day, Mom must have loved it, cause she never came and forced the volume any lower!

Recorded from Winter 1988 into 1989, this album sometimes falls into the shadows of Nevermind. It never really saw the same mainstream acclaim, but for whatever reason, this one always stood out most prominently to me when considering Nirvana’s work.

To date, this album is Sub Pop Record’s #1 selling album throughout their extensive collection of releases. That’s saying a lot.

Nirvana-Bleach

“…biggest, baddest sound that Sub Pop have so far managed to unearth. So primitive that they manage to make label mates Mudhoney sound like Genesis, Nirvana turn up the volume and spit and claw their way to the top of the musical garbage heap.” – Edwin Pouncey of NME
