Boston experimental synth pop outfit Hooray For Earth started out as a solo project.  Noel Heroux would tamper and dabble with synth noise in his bedroom with a 4-track and slowly, Hooray For Earth began to solidify.  Nearly 10 years later, with 3 albums under their belt, Noel is back in his bedroom with that same 4-track and nothing to lose.  Meet Mass Gothic.

First single Nice Night is immediate and powerful, throwing off any speculation that Mass Gothic is a mere side project.  Pinkerton-era chord progressions collide into metal sludge and Enotastic keyboard tinkerings, a loud and righteous “Hi, How Are You?” from the Boston-turned-New Yorker.

Sub Pop Records has a limited batch of banana-colored vinyl after the ‘buy’ link.  Grab one, losers.
