Justin Townes Earle is releasing a new album called Kids In The Street on colored vinyl exclusively from Pledge music. The single “Champagne Corolla” is a bluesy sound with modern lyrics which was the intent of Justin on the album, stating that “Nobody can relate to song about a plow and a horse these days, nobody really plows the field with a horse anymore” eluding to adding relevance to the lyrics provided by folk music.

This album is produced by Mike Mogis (he’s produced albums for Bright Eyes, First Aid Kit, Rilo Kiley, and more) to incorporate more modern sounds, which can be noted as a step sideways for Justin.

I contacted Brady Brock to see how exclusive the limited edition colored vinyl (signed) is, which I’m still waiting for a response back. I suspect that there are only 500 pressed, and the same goes with the bonus 7″, even though this is not advertised as “limited”. I’ll update it when I here back.

Here is what he has to say (kinda insignificant but whatever), brought to you by Pledgemusic:

My new album Kids In The Street is coming in 2017. We’ve put together these packages to offer you an exclusive pre-order, where you can get items available nowhere else.

Here’s the plan – you can pre-order any of the items listed below. Everyone who pre-orders will get a digital download of the new album on the street date.

Once you pre-order here, you get instant access to a special part of the site via the ‘AccessPass.’ With the “AccessPass” you’ll be able to hear streams of new songs, get early access to videos and music, and more.

Enjoy it all, and see you soon on the road.
