Commonly we get stuck in a schema that feels as if music needs to be a certain way or developed in a particular order. Historically, there needs to be drums, a guitar or piano, bass, and a vocalist. Who decided that was the rule?
I think Hayden Pedigo has exemplified the breaking of the mold that is modern indie rock sound. Here we have a simple acoustic guitar, bass and slide guitar allowing us to wander through the dessert pondering our own thoughts without someone bombarding them with their opinions. Take a step back from the intensity of modern overproduced music and do what the title suggests; let go.
