Slow Girl Walking are a shoegaze & mellow noise-rock outfit from Edmonton, Alberta. The 3 piece released a 5 track EP entitled, “Gloo” back in April.
I seem to always turn to rock sounds that shimmer in reverb toward the Fall and cooling off months of the calendar year and this EP by Slow Girl Walking has grown on me strongly.
If you enjoy the dissonant guitar strumming used in the 90s by noise rock bands you may dig these fine chaps sound. I personally feel their 3 piece-ness gives them this literal garage jam band feel, kind of like they just go wit
h the flow, it’s kind of raw and inviting. There’s something so innocent and clear about a 3 piece band that has it’s sights set on being noisy while maintaining a modest dreamy tone all around. They’ve got 150 cassettes available for release and are selling them for an extremely fair price. Give them a sound check below.
