RIYL: Lo-Fi Dreampop / Bedroomcore tapes
After hearing L.A. dream pop artist Charles’s (aka Charlotte Lindèn Ercoli Coe’s) newest track “I Know You Love Me, But Do You Think Of Me, Romantically”on I-can’t-remember-which music blog, I had to do a little digging to see if I could get my hands on a physical release. Sadly the new track is only available on Soundcloud (for now) but I was happy to discover her “That’s How Baby Learns” album on cassette over at London-based Post/Pop Records. Give it a listen below and go grab yourself a tape at the link!
Charlotte Lindèn Ercoli Coe makes music for fun in her bedroom sometimes on the side of being a professional videographer. This is her NEW album, full of future dream-pop classics.
Some people apparently start revolutions from their beds. I, in times gone by, have built space station forts from pillows and duvets and imagination. Charlotte Lindèn Ercoli Coe aka Charles has created an awesome album of considerable dream-pop classics that not only perfectly suit our format of choice - Cassettes! In case you weren't listening - but feels like it was made for it. Now I'm not saying producing 'That's What Baby Learns' from the comfort of some wood and linen is any more of an achievement than my pillow space fort, but it's probably a lot easier to drop into everyday conversation.
