RIYL: African tribal and traditional songs

Label: Details Sound

For the duration of a film, basically, Italian composer Luca Garino has curated a collection entirely comprised of African tribal, and traditional, songs. We’ve been given very little to go off of (unless, I suppose you’re press), but if you can find the beauty in music you can’t quite comprehend, language-wise, give this a go. There’s seemingly no synopsis for this cassette, so there’s only so much I can offer you. This is for the risk taker and the adventurous listener, and/or perhaps you’re a musicologist who’d just like to own this for research purposes. After listening to the morsel of a preview on Soundcloud, I can only imagine what Mark Ernestus or Moritz von Oswald would do if they were to apply their lush dub production treatment. I guess I should point out that these were recently recorded and not pieced together from old recordings! Listen to the preview below via the Soundcloud player and see what you think of it. Cheers!
