RIYL: an aural pummeling
Label: Grey Matter Productions
In case you haven’t figured it out by now, Grey Matter Productions doesn’t even entertain the idea of being cheerful. INSEKTOID’s logo is not unlike any Nordic black metal act’s, bordering itself on illegible with its wiry, coarse lettering. Suffocating In Silence is supposed to be a representation of “how mankind has abused their powers and used them to inflict the minds of everyone.” I’m starting to think before Grey Matter signs you, they’ll ask how well-versed you are in the likes of Nietzsche (in turn, Schopenhauer, etc.). Suffocating In Silence might be what it sounds like if you got stuck in the washing machine. It goes quiet, but for a breath (relatively), in the last track “There Is Nothing Inside Of Me.” Suffocating In Silence is the equivalent to having your ear drums be reduced to dust by a mortar and pestle – this is an endurance test. You probably won’t remain silent during the course of this. Listen to Suffocating In Silence below via the Bandcamp player and see what you think of it. Cheers!
"This music represents how mankind has abused their powers and used them to inflict the minds of everyone. We have turned into a disease on this planet and we won't stop breeding its bacteria. We have turned this paradise into a mere wasteland.
This music is my way of releasing the things I have experienced. Everyone has their own way of sensing things around them - This music is my way of interpreting what I was sensing at the time.
I feel that these are the sounds that insects can hear - the distorted sounds humankind has created"
