Label: Power Moves Library
A happy Labor Day to all you readers stateside! I go in to work in roughly an hour because it’s crunch time where I am at the moment, but it’s all good. I figured I’d squeeze this in before having to head out the door.¬†As an important aside, I’m pretty sure in the almost 1000 pieces I’ve wrote about that this is the cheapest. At one Canadian dollar, that makes it .77 cents US – if you so please, at least at press time, you can download it for free. Live Den is averse to categorization as it employs characteristics of drone, the cold wave of yesteryear, hip-hop that sounds like it hit the sizzzurp too much, dub and dub techno. Each track on¬†Live Den takes on a life of its own, with the only real similarity betwixt them being that they all look up to the smoky blue sky – a near-permanent ornament of dusk. Post-rock fans, there’s something in here for you as well. For example, “Sun House” almost sounds as if it could’ve been on Feel Good Lost. Listen to¬†Live Den below via the Bandcamp player and see what you think of it. Cheers!
