RIYL: Magical Garage Tasting

Label: Magical Garage Taste

Shucks, I got here just in time. Magical Garage Taste¬†dropped this album yesterday, and it’s already down to only eight copies. Seattle-based producer qualchan. is an electronic voyager tackling everything from ambient music to screwing hip-hop until it’s almost unrecognizable – from the voices to the lyrics.¬†qualchan. with¬†ninety nine flowers. is a forty-plus minute monolith full of varying genres and lengths.¬†ninety nine flowers. has no track listing, so if you like a certain segment of this heterogenous mix you’ll have to remember the time it begins and ends. You’ll notice that in the genre tags,¬†Magical Garage Taste used the word “collage” as one of them and that works as a descriptor of the genre and the gestalt of¬†ninety nine flowers. It’s a hazy, blissed out mix of post-rock, electronic soundscapes, field recordings and hip-hop. If you’re an Orange Milk¬†fan, I recommend this wholeheartedly to you. Listen to¬†ninety nine flowers. below via the Bandcamp player and see what you think of it. Cheers!
