Label: Spring Break Tapes

For the moment, I’m going to try to see what else Spring Break Tapes has. The label just dropped another release yesterday and, yes, it’s this. Oracles & Chambers is another solemn affair. You’d assume with a name like Spring Break Tapes, it’d be releasing vaporwave or dream pop. Instead of a champagne-colored sandy coast in the Caribbean, Gabbiano takes you to a volcanic beach in the dead of Iceland’s winter. Instead of going for a swim, or diving, Gabbiano takes you to a geothermal pool right as the sun hides itself from view. Instead of fun activities such as people watching or secretly making fun of any of the patrons, Gabbiano requests that you take a look in to the sky. Luckily, due to the lack of lights, the only pollution you’re suffering from is from the steam rising out of the water. Oracles & Chambers has you focus on the stars. Listen to the Oracles & Chambers excerpt below via the SoundCloud player and see what you think of it. Cheers!

The Details

Heavily influenced by sacred geometry and marine life, Avery Gabbiano has produced a serene and meditative journey in the unknown with Oracles & Chambers. He combines aquatic tones, both synthesized and organically captured, with field recordings that coalesce to create a stunning sophomore effort.
