RIYL: the apocalypse
Label: Quiet Time
I don’t know about you, but my morning routine generally consists of me checking my email, checking Facebook, checking Reddit, checking YouTube for any new uploads from my subscriptions and checking Twitter every now and then. I had some trouble checking the middle three sites, and my work email was crapping the bed. Turns out this all due to an onslaught of cyber attacks from unknown sources and from a map I saw, it was akin to a virtual carpet bombing. It made me realize how dependent we’re becoming on the internet, and how much we’ve more or less become “merged” with it. This marks the first installment of the Quiet Time series (and the last one I can write about at the moment), but it, like Baby’s and Money’s installments, is an amalgam of genres and the tapestry woven here is darkling. A dark release for a somewhat (literally) dark day in a virtual sense. Even on Bandcamp, they’ve made note of difficulties concerning these attacks. Listen to the stream of QTT1 below via the SoundCloud stream and see what you think of it. Cheers!
