RIYL: dark and minimal techno

Label: Always Human Tapes

If only I had known of this around Easter… The crucifixion mock-up on the cover of a homunculus aptly conveys the swamp of sound contained within Moral. With the halo, you could also interpret this an angelic being or an homage to the Blair Witch Project. Both can be equally creepy, depending on how you look at the former manifesting itself. With each bellowing bass pulse, the drum of black ooze that this album is bubbles and splashes out of the opening dispensing its unbearable aroma. The tracks, for the most part, could be classified as dark techno and dark ambient. bergsonist has snuffed out any sign of joy or ecstasy here, replacing twinkling synth chords for the oppressive drilling conducted by filthy synths. From minimal to maximal, either way you’ll always walk away feeling slightly less happy than before. Wallow in the darkness by listening to Moral below via the Bandcamp player and see what you think of it. Cheers!
