Label: Magical Garage Taste

Last week, I went on a bit of a nihilistic streak with all those tapes from Grey Matter Productions. I figured I’d take us back to a higher altitude with a label I haven’t checked in on in a while, Magical Garage TasteMagical Garage Taste, a Québec-based tape label, keeps everything to small runs and on top of that, makes them way cheap. These steals are only amplified by the fact that the Canadian dollar (at press time) has yet to bounce back, so you’re getting a discount on top of that. For this, Magical Garage Taste hosts two from their humble, yet productive, stable – qualchan. and effed. qualchan.’s side of the tape sounds like a B-side from Belong’s October Language and effed.’s side of the tape sounds like it could’ve come from K.C. Accidental’s Anthems For The Could’ve Been Pills – I mean both comparisons as compliments. Listen to the Bandcamp stream of the split below and see what you think of it. Cheers!
