Label: Spare No Expanse
As we leaave this week behind, I bring you Leaaves’ We Will Forget Our Sadder Days In Summers That Never End out on Spare No Expanse – I’m not the only one making puns here. For some reason, and maybe it’s due to the traffic Bandcamp is receiving today due to many labels’ profits going 100% to the ACLU, this album won’t load for me at the moment on my phone’s app, my phone’s browser, or any browser that I use on my computer. However, I’m sure it’s solid work since I got this tip off from Aidan Hanratty’s Bandcloud email. I feel like I’ve mentioned this many times, but if you’re not already a subscriber to that please do so. Leeaves was on another release I wrote up that came from Third Kind, so he’s not a new face. Hopefully, the Bandcamp player works for you and I’ve left that down below.
Here’s what Mr. Hanratty writes about the album:
Oh this is delightful. It’s from the first batch of tapes on the new Spare No Expanse label, and it’s by Leaaves, who featured here before in the Pokémon-esque Outdoor Games on Third Kind last year. He’s sat on it for a while, but it seems apt now. It’s a gorgeous collection of vignettes, slightly murky, dripping with emotion. Drift away. Oh and until February 5, the label is donating all profits to World Relief Durham, a group working to resettle refugees in North Carolina.
Have a good weekend. Cheers!
