Label: Magical Garage Taste
I’m happy to report that this time around, I’m not 29035023985 years late to a Magical Garage Taste release but a day late. Emily Glass & Memory Leaks Onto The Rug joined forces to produce something rather… leaky. The intro track, “7777773 (E),” feels like the opening to a demented Christmas tale. One where a crazed stalker lurks outside the fire-warmed wooden walls to a cabin in the woods, which of course means it’s situated in the middle of nowhere long out of reach for help. “_ ” is a great name, as it denotes a lack of. This, to me, marks when this hunter barges in and the screen goes black. All this noise is covering up what could be screams of triumph or terror. This liberally adds to the mystery.
The naming for this album, in fact, is rather peculiar. I won’t bother with the rest of the tracks, as I don’t even think I’m helping at the moment, but think of this as the demented winter time adventure that you didn’t know you needed until now. An ice pack to stave off the summer’s hellish heat. Listen to Emily Glass & Memory Leaks Onto The Rug below via the Bandcamp player and see what you think of it. It wouldn’t hurt to check out the accompanying website and videos, either. Cheers!
