Finally! Railbird Festival returns to the legendary Grounds at Keeneland! After an impressive debut in 2019, Railbird Festival comes back to Lexington, KY on August 28 & 29, 2021. Presented by AC Entertainment, the promoters of the Bonnaroo, Forecastle, High Water, and Moon River festivals, Railbird sets itself apart from other festivals by combining some of the best national musical acts with the best of the local culture; an exploding regional music scene, the national treasure that is bourbon, and Kentucky equine and horse racing.
Railbird noun definition: “horse racing enthusiast known for sticking close to the action, hanging on the rail as each contender comes barreling down the track.”

Rock, Blues, Country, Soul, Bluegrass, & Folk; This year’s schedule has a little Americana for everyone. Featured artists include: My Morning Jacket, Dave Matthews Band, Leon Bridges, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Billy Strings, Khruangbin, Black Pumas, The Revivalists, Midland, Band of Horses, Japanese Breakfast, The War and Treaty, Joy Oladokun, Pinegrove, Sarah Jarosz, Zach Bryan, John Moreland, Liz Cooper, Cedric Burnside and many more.

The flavor of the region, and America’s best known spirit, visit the Rickhouse for a curated bourbon experiencewith barrels of Kentucky’s finest hand chosen by the co-owners of Justins’ House of Bourbon; Justin Sloan and Justin Thompson. Or stop by the Sip & Savor studio kitchen for amazing bourbon and food pairing demonstrationsbrought to you by the world-renowned chefs of Lexington and surrounding region in a studio kitchen setting. Featured bourbons include Four Roses, Bulleit, Elijah Craig, Justins’ House of Bourbon, New Riff, Old Carter, Old FOrester, Pinhook, Castle & Key, and Wilderness Trail.
A major theme of the event, visit the Lucky Day Plaza for coast to coast simulcasting and an air-conditioned bar and lounge perfect for viewing the racing. Festival goers 18 years of age and older will have the opportunity to be treated to a tutorial from a horse racing expert before stepping up to a betting machine and placing a wager on race.
